Things I Didn’t Like 10 Years Ago But Like Now #003: Gym Class
That picture is the senior year yearbook photo of my high school gym teacher in Michigan, Mr. Viitala*. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays (could not find his baseball card online unfortunately) back in the early 90s, didn’t pan out and then taught physical education in Michigan. During one memorable sex ed class we watched some miracle of childbirth video and it ended early. He let us put on MTV and watch music videos (yeah, remember those?) for the remainder of the class period. That was the first time I saw Radiohead’s “Karma Police” music video. The man’s alright in my book.
