This didn’t apply to everyone, but if you were already a nerd in high school it didn’t help your cool campaign by telling people you were in Boy Scouts. And even if you could get away with telling people, you certainly weren’t going to gain any points if they found out you were an Eagle Scout. And do you know why? It was not cool, dude.
